Amana Tool 3-Piece Carbide Tipped Tambour Door/Appliance Garage Door Shank Set
The set (#54310) shapes the face of the stock, completing the contour of the ball from each face. Then, the socket is shaped using a second bit (#54312). The set also includes a third bit (#49498) specifically designed to shape the end of the tambour, providing a place to mount a pull for opening the finished tambour.
Assembly is simple - just slide the slats together to create a beautiful, flexible tambour. This versatile tambour can be used to make your own roll top desk, breadbox, kitchen countertop storage areas, and more.
This unique 3-piece router bit set comes with an antique solid brass knob. It shapes tambours that interlock with a ball-and-socket joint. Unlike regular tambours, there is no need for cloth, glue, or wires.
Each slat in the set measures approximately 1/2" x 1". The tambour door requires a minimum radius of 3-1/2". The maximum RPM for this set is 28,000.
